Did you know that you can cook your turkey a day or two before Thanksgiving?
It will not only turn out wonderful, but make your morning much more relaxing
and your oven available for all the other delicious sides!
Unless you have your heart set on carving the traditional bird at the table,
we highly recommend getting the turkey out of the way early.
Prepare and cook your turkey as you normally would.
Slice your turkey and put it into storage containers or storage bags in the refrigerator.
Save the drippings from the turkey in a storage container as well.
On Thanksgiving Day, warm your turkey and the drippings together
in a roaster or crockpot. We usually leave our's in the roaster for 3-4 hours.
The turkey always turns out very tender and flavorful after sitting in the juices all morning.
