Get your apron on….Baked Oatmeal.

Breakfast is the way we begin our day. It's important to start it out right!
For the month of January, we thought each Monday we would share with you some of
our favorite breakfast recipes!

Simple and hearty..perfect for a chilly, winter morn...Baked Oatmeal.
This can also be made the night before and stored in the refrigerator until morning.

Perfect for those days you want a warm breakfast,
but don't have time to stand in the kitchen.

Baked Oatmeal
1/2 cup of butter, melted
1 cup of brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
3 cups of oats...quick or rolled.
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of milk {or buttermilk or almond milk...}

Cream together first three ingredients, then add the rest to the cream mixture.
Bake in 9x13 pan at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

You can top with fresh fruit or add fruit to the mixture before you bake...
...chopped apples, blueberries, raspberries, sliced peaches..
..the options are endless.
