Get your apron on…Tomato Pie


This dish can be a main or a side.
So simple, so easy and your kitchen will smell amazing while it bakes.

Here’s what you need….

Pre-baked pie crust {can be purchased or made from scratch}
4 tomatoes
10 basil leaves
salt for tomatoes
1-2 cloves of crushed garlic
1 cup of mayo
1/2 onion diced
2 cups of mozzarella cheese

Slice tomatoes and lay out on paper towels. Sprinkle salt over them.

Leave them sit for 10 minutes so they can drain…then blot with a new paper towel.

Meanwhile mix together mayo, crushed garlic and cheese. {set a small handful of cheese aside for the top}

Layer in pie crust onions, tomatoes and basil. Spread 1/2 of the mayo/cheese mixture on top.
Place second layer of onions, tomatoes and basil in crust. Spread the rest of mixture on top.
Sprinkle remaining cheese.

You can also place a few slices of tomatoes and basil on top of pie to make your pie look pretty!
Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.

Serve warm.
